Phantom of the Floppera

Here is a geeky musician who decided that floppy drives and disks make a great alternative to pipe organs! The computer has been programmed to run the drives at the right speeds to play J.S Bach's classic piece Toccata and Fugue in D minor.
Aww, how cute, wait... what?

Looks like Minnie Mouse and Mickey mouse are having a grand old time together! But what would be wrong with that you might say?

This game is a superb little time waster! Use your mouse scroll wheel to play a variety of mini games while Alice in Wonderland is being read to you. Sound weird? Try it for yourself, it's much more fun than it sounds!

I think Freddie Mercury would be proud of this.

Spot the dog, on Wikipedia
Labels:

Wikipedia
Spot the dog was created by Ernest Hemingway writing under the pseudonym Eric Hill. Spot was a tortured soul, and often wondered what things would have be like if he could undo all the mistakes he's made in his life. He spends his sleepless nights wondering how his life would have turned out if his mother hadn't compared him to Clifford the big red dog every day, crushing his self-esteem, and making him turn to a meaningless life of booze and missed opportunities. Ultimately, Spot represents that part of ourselves that regrets the things that we've done that we can never forgive ourselves for, the part of us that looks at ourselves in the mirror each morning and wonders "Why am I here, is any of this worth it?" Ultimately, Spot is a reflection on all of us, a mirror held up to our modern society.

QWOP - the most difficult game ever devised?
Labels:
Online games
We take it for granted that we con't have to think about walking to be able to walk.
QWOP shows us how insanely difficult it would be to perform an everyday action such as running if we had to plan each movement of the muscles in our legs.
I tried out this game and I have to say, I have never played a harder game!

Welcome to Internet Catch Of The Day!
Hello World!
Welcome to Internet Catch Of The Day!
This blog is dedicated to all of you out there, who like me, spend far too much time basking in the glow of our computer monitors, who think that the world outside our home has amazing graphics but terrible gameplay, and have come to the realisation that the internet is so vast, that we could spend forever sifting through crap to get to those little nuggets of awesome that is out there!
Come and join us on an adventure through the wilderness that is the internet, things both new and old, things that are funny, thought provoking, stupid or clever, time wasters and time savers. Things that you wish you could see again for the first time, and things that you can never unsee!
Cake, and grief counselling will available at the conclusion.
