5 minute game - Passage

Take an entire life, and compress it into a game that runs for exactly five minutes. Jason Rohrer did just that, and this game is well worth five minutes of your time.

Passage is one of those games that sounds terrible in theory.  There is no real objectives presented to you, and you know the game is over in five minutes no matter what you do.  But in practice, it is a thought provoking indie gem that you will have to play to fully appreciate.

The game is a side scrolling adventure type game, but it offers you no hints or clues on what it wants you to do (just like real life). One of the first things you are presented with is a choice: to remain alone for the rest of you simulated life, or to partner up with the girl that waits for you at the start of the game. There are pros and cons to each choice, but I'll let you figure that out, after all, this game is a meditation on life and the choices we make, so download the game, and start exploring! It's hard to discuss this game without revealing everything about it, so download it here (it's completely free) and we will discuss the game in the comments.
